Following on from last year's successful event, Yeovil Town Council - with the support of the Brimsmore Gardens Group - is staging another Flower and Gardeners' Market.
This year's event takes place between 10.00am and 4.00pm on Saturday 27 September 2014 in and around The Triangle in Yeovil Town Centre. The event will be complemented by the monthly Farmer's Market, which will be held in nearby Middle Street on the same day.
Once again, a variety of stalls will be provided on a horticultural/gardening theme with prices to suit all pockets. This year's event will also include the second Yeovil Food Festival, which will also take place in Middle Street, and a Vintage Market in King George Street.
Entertainment has been arranged to suit all ages, and will include:
- Buskfest - buskers performing throughout the Town Centre
- Bugfest - a chance to see a variety of exotic and unusual creatures!
- Yeovil in Bloom Gardening Competition - presentation of prizes
- Best Kept Allotment Competition - presentation of prizes
- Music in the Performing Arts Area - featuring Yeovil Town Band
- Competitions
- Children's Activities - including a workshop, face painting and a stiltwalker.
The event provides an ideal opportunity for local producers, clubs and organisations to promote their products and attract new members. Anyone interested in taking on a stall should contact the Town Council on 01935 382424 for further details and an application form.
