This market features stalls as diverse as anywhere with a wide range of products and produce ranging from good food (fast food outlet to local home-made bread, cheese pies and pasties) to ethnic clothing, china, toys, and shabby chic, handbags, men’s and ladies clothing and underwear, summer sandals and sunglasses and silver jewellery. They often have rugs, pictures, fabric and foam to furnish your home and there’s even a little something for your pets; pet food and pet beds.

Visit the market and enjoy the friendly atmosphere as you browse and buy products from the stalls.

History

The market in Yeovil has 800 years of history, dating back to 1205 when King John granted the Market Charter. Yeovil is renowned for its Helicopters at AgustaWestlands and for Pittards leather which is now used for sporting activities world wide. Prior to the mid 1800's indoor markets were held in the old Market House and butchers held a market in the shambles. The market moved to Middle Street in 1996.
