This February half term we've plenty to interest all the family, including den building and outdoor activities with our ranger team. Learn new skills and use your imagination to create the perfect den - and bring your sandwiches and a flask if you like, and sit back to enjoy your handiwork!

Bugfest will be taking over the whole of the Church to bring its ever popular community event further into town. There will be the chance to meet ten thousand creepy crawlies from all over the world, many of which can be taken home as new pets, there will be entertainments laid on during the day, we will have Nick Wadham's Wild and Deadly Show, we will have TV phobia buster Ed Francis talking about his work and the origins of spider fears and more, there will be bird of prey demonstrations and talks from Mick's Owls, you will be able to talk to representatives from various conservation organisations such as Somerset Wildlife Trust, RSPB, and more - it will definitely be an action packed day, and one where you can have fun as well as have a positive impact on the community around you.

The A-plan Insurance Yeovil Half Marathon will start and finish in Yeovil Town Centre.
Closed roads around the town centre before heading along the entire length of Yeovil Country Park. The route then leaves the town on the western side to Montacute House, before returning on quiet country roads to the Town Centre finish in the Quedam Shopping Centre.

This event takes place each May day bank holiday weekend. Situated on the A37 just south of Yeovil towards Dorchester, over looking the rolling hills of Dorset. It features something for everyone. From Traction Engines to Motorcycles it's all at this fun family day out. With over 100 trade stands you can get everything from a spark plug for the old car in your garage to that old 16 ton commercial vehicle you wanted to restore. During the day a full entertainment program is available with ring events, live bands and singers in the refreshment marquee. In the evening the fun continues in the marquee and the fairground stays open until late. Enter the site and take a look around at some of the fun that will happen at this event.
