German-inspired Christmas Market opning

The Apple Tree Farm Shop at Brimsmore Gardens in Yeovil will also open its German-inspired Christmas Market on Friday 19 October with a meet-the-producer event, where visitors will be able to sample local produce and get a few early Christmas presents along the way.

St Margaret’s Hospice Coffee Cake and Community Spirit at William Blake Hall, South Petherton TA13 5BT.

Please come along and join us over a cup of coffee and homemade cake, to find out about the amazing services that St Margaret's Hospice provide to the local Community, and how local people support local patients.

We are in need of  volunteers and supporters in the South Petherton Area, and would be very grateful lf you could spare an hour to discover how you can help us, from offering as little as an hour a year, having a home collecting pot, or joining a community fundraising group to assist us raise the £20K daily that we need to keep our services available. All welcome !

Yeovil Half Marathon

The A-plan Insurance Yeovil Half Marathon will start and finish in Yeovil Town Centre.

Closed roads around the town centre before heading along the entire length of Yeovil Country Park. The route then leaves the town on the western side to Montacute House, before returning on quiet country roads to the Town Centre finish in the Quedam Shopping Centre.

Sherborne Castle Country Fair

Sherborne Castle Country Fair is a one-day rural event held in the grounds of Sherborne Castle. 

This family day-out is held to raise funds for local children’s charities and youth organisations.  It is a traditional country fair with displays and attractions, trade and craft stands and a rare and native breed animal show.  The 2019 date is Bank Holiday Monday 27th May.

Tickets on the day cost: adult £12.50, child (5-16) £4.00, family* £30.00.  Under 5's free.  *Admits 2 adults and 3 fee-paying children.

Car parking is free.  Dogs are welcome, on a short lead.
