Business Profile

G A Helliar & Son is a family run business established in 1932 by Walter Helliar and Leonard Childs.  Today it is run by grandson Garry Helliar.

Prior to forming the business the original partners cleaned windows on retail outlets and large domestic properties.  After a short break, while both partners served in HM Forces, they both returned safely to continue the business....

From 1950 the partners extended the business to provide a wider range of cleaning services.

Window Cleaning

G A Helliar & Son window cleaning service is based in Yeovil, with the bulk of the work being in and around Yeovil town centre.  All of the cleaning is carried out by, or directly supervised by one or both of the partners. 
Wherever possible, we use our pure water cleaning system which is 100% environmentally friendly and eradicates the use of ladders.
Our town centre window cleaning team start at 6:00 a.m. and complete as much work as possible before customers arrive.

Instore Cleaning

All instore cleaning takes place during pre-arranged times with store management.
Work is carried out by trained staff.
Supervisors are appointed in stores where three or more members of staff are required to clean the premises.
A self supervision check list is given to all members of staff.
Spot checks are made regularly by one of the partners.

Office Cleaning

All office cleaning takes place during pre-arranged times with the customer.
Work is carried out by trained staff.
Supervisors are appointed in contracts where three or more members of staff are required to clean the premises.
A self supervision check list is given to all members of staff.
Spot checks are made regularly by one of the partners.

Carpet Cleaning

G A Helliar & Son can offer several different types of carpet cleaning depending on degree of soiling.
We carry a full treatments insurance along with normal public liability insurance.

Hardwood Floor Maintenance

This task is carried out by the partners to ensure total customer satisfaction.
A range of treatments are available depending on customer requirements and floor types.

Other Cleaning Services

Fascias, kitchen cleans, walls, high level vacuuming, high level window cleaning hot/cold pressure washing / steam cleaning, external computer & office equipment, builders cleans and church floors are amongst an ever growing range of cleaning services that we provide.  If there is a particular service you require that we have not listed please do not hesitate to ask.
