The Town Council supports the Yeovil Town Centre Partnership and contributes towards its operation and development. The aims and objectives of the Partnership are set out below:
AIMS
(a) To enhance Yeovil's role as a sub-regional centre for shopping and business.
(b) To improve the environment of Town Centre streets and open spaces, including
their cleanliness and state of repair.
(c) To maintain convenient access to the Town Centre in the face of increasing traffic
congestion.
(d) To create a more distinctive atmosphere and identity for the Town Centre.
(e) To encourage more living accommodation within the Town Centre.
(f) To provide a wider range of leisure opportunities within the Town Centre.
(g) To support and help to implement the Yeovil Vision.
OBJECTIVES
(a) To deliver a happier and healthier place to work, live and shop.
(b) A comfort zone for shopping.
(c) Easy parking.
(d) Safe and secure.
(e) Clean and attractive.
(f) Facilities for the disabled.
(g) Seasonal attractions/events.
