A Talk on the Origins of Maypole Dancing & Coffee Morning

Ann Hinchliffe from the Dorset and Somerset Historical Dance groups is giving a talk on Maypole dancing traditions, old and new. Her talk includes a mix of literary references from Chaucer to Dickens followed by a dancing demonstration and an opportunity to ask questions.
Ann’s talks are always very popular and informative so please put the date in your diary.
Reasonably priced refreshments always available. Proceeds aid the purchase of new vocal/music scores and playsets which are loaned by those who love to entertain others.
Children welcome. No need to book. Lift available to the 2nd floor.
