Lynx operations during the Falklands War

29 September 2016

Museum's AgustaWestland Conference Room

The role of the Lynx during the events of 1982 was critical in many ways to the success of the Falklands War. Little has been publicised about the role of the Lynx and many of its unique roles and operations in which it took part in whilst on HMS Adromeda. Our speaker was the Lynx pilot on board the ship and will talk about his forthcoming book on the subject.

Tickets cost £7 per head, refreshments during the interval included, and can be purchased either on the door or, in advance, online using the link on website. You do not have to be a member of SOFFAAM to attend.

Throughout the year the Museum's Society of Friends hold regular monthly talks followed by a light supper and drink. The talks take place in the Museum's AgustaWestland Conference Room and are usually held on the last Thursday of every month. Non members are very welcome at £7.00 per person.

Online sales will be withdrawn on 28th Sept 2016 at 3pm). Remaining Tickets can be bought on the night as capacity allows. For any queries please contact the ticket box on 01935 842617.
