Robot Wars

16 April 2014 - 17 April 2014

The Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeovilton, Somerset

It's a battle for the survival of the fittest robot.   Robots from all over the UK will be trundling towards the Museum in an all out battle to grind, slam and crush the opposition.

The event is organised by Robo Challenge whose expertise in building robots is regularly seen on TV's The Gadget Show.

Many participants of the hit TV show Robot Wars travel from all over the UK to compete with their mechanical warriors behind the bullet proof Robo Challenge Arena.

Museum normal admission charges apply and additional charges for some activities. Please check the Fleet Air Arm Museum website for details.

Robot Family Workshops
Arena One will be hosting robot building workshops (spaces are limited on these workshops, please register early on the day). If you ever wanted to know what it would be like to be a roboteer, then this is the perfect opportunity. A chance to work as a team to build a real robot before taking it into battle - great hands-on family fun. This unique experience teaches the participants how robots work using Science & Technology and is suitable for ages 7 years and upward.

Large arena battles by Robo Challenge Teams
Arena Two is where the professionals do battle behind a bullet proof screen. These machines have to be seen to be believed! Some are fitted with angle grinders and some with flame throwers...all intent on being the last one standing!

There is no additional charge to attend and participate in the Robo Challenge event and workshops. Normal Museum admission prices apply. To sign up to a robot building workshop simply apply on the day!
