Since its inception in 1994 Art Weeks has become an important event in Somerset's calendar delighting art lovers from near and far.

Due to increasing popularity and growth the decision was made in 2007 to turn the festival into an annual two week event with an alternating focus of Open Studios and Festival Year.  For more information please visit their website.

Answering the BIG questions in life

YEOVIL Family Church are running the internationally renowned Alpha Course starting October 2014. Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the big questions in life from a Christian faith perspective and gives anyone the opportunity to have their say.

The 10 week course starts on Wednesday 1st October,  There is a two course evening meal provided FREE each week. It is a great opportunity to voice your thoughts in a relaxed and friendly environment. No pressure. No follow up. No charge.

Street market dating back to medieval times, held annually on the first Monday after 10th October – old Michaelmas Day.

Still a major event in Sherborne with four of the town’s main streets becoming full of street traders and food stalls for the day.

There will be ten International films to delight, inspire, thrill and even more the audience.

Autumn Model Show at Fleet Air Arm Museum

For an amazing day of flying machines, this event is the south west's leading model show and boasts a spectacular flying display by the British Model Flying Association.

Visitors can meet the experts, see the radio controlled models flying and of course includes full access to the Museum, Concorde and the Aircraft Carrier Experience.

Levels' Best Farmers Market at Montacute

There will be between 30 to 40 stall holders every month in the beautiful setting of Montacute House, a National Trust property just 2.5 miles from Yeovil.
 
The market is in the courtyard and offers the chance to support the farmers and producers affected by the recent flooding by buying their products. The market will have regular cooking demonstrations and talks from chefs and producers.
