The Friends of the Yeatman Hospital are inviting bids for five beautifully hand crafted items of furniture which have been made and very kindly donated by Mr Pugh of Westbury Cottage to help raise funds for The Friends.

They are made of spalted sycamore with inlays of plum and philadelphus.  The furniture has a wax finish. Photographs of the items can be seen on the Friends website, www.friendsoftheyeatman.co.uk 

The five items are

one eight drawer coffee table 34" long, 26" deep, 18 " high

                two side tables, height 23", diameter 19"

two half-round tables, height 29", diameter 32"

We invite anyone interested in making an offer for any or all of these five items to contact the Friends

The closing date is Saturday 20th September.

The highest bidders of all items will be contacted soon after bidding has closed, (providing the reserve price has been reached), to arrange settlement and collection of items.

Antiques Roadshow at Barrington Court

BBC One's ever popular Antiques Roadshow to be filmed at Barrington Court.
Recording and entry to our valuation days is free. The doors will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm and as long as you are in the queue by 4.30pm you will see an expert.

If you have a large piece of furniture or other big item, you can send details and photographs to the Antiques Roadshow. It may be possible to arrange for us to look at the item in advance and organise transportation to the venue.

Hosted by Yeovil Town Council and sponsored by The Garden’s Group – Brimsmore Garden Centre will have a beautiful display of plants and flowers.

Levels' Best Farmers Market at Montacute

There will be between 30 to 40 stall holders every month in the beautiful setting of Montacute House, a National Trust property just 2.5 miles from Yeovil.
 
The market is in the courtyard and offers the chance to support the farmers and producers affected by the recent flooding by buying their products. The market will have regular cooking demonstrations and talks from chefs and producers.

Autumn Model Show at Fleet Air Arm Museum

For an amazing day of flying machines, this event is the south west's leading model show and boasts a spectacular flying display by the British Model Flying Association.
