Having moved to bigger and better premises a year ago The Mad Hatter is one of the best shops of its kind in the country.  It’s still in Princess Street but now occupies a 350 year old building which is purported to be haunted! 

Quite fitting as the upstairs is dedicated to Halloween and Horror and stocks spine chilling items all the year around.  There is also a separate Costume Hire room where only the highest quality fancy dress costumes are to be found.  With over 1,000 costumes for hire there is a costume for all occasions.  Whether it is Super Heroes or Medieval, 1920’s to 1980’s, Pop, Film or T.V. stars; the shop has everything you need.  Plus to complete your fancy dress there is a full range of accessories on the ground floor.  Grimas make-up, body paint, hair colour, face masks, masquerade masks, platform shoes and boots plus a further department filled to the brim with inexpensive costumes to buy.  If that wasn’t enough, you will also find the naughty counter for hen nights and stag nights.  If you have not visited the Mad Hatter before then you are in for a treat – from pocket money jokes to Promotional Costumes.
